I don't have a #6.
You don't think North Texas is positioned to be successful moving forward?
You are getting there, but you are missing a major sport. A couple good years in football doesn't erase the long run of losing seasons. That is just my opinion.
Your statement was regarding...
"which schools will likely be able to perform well, athletically, from now forward".
Going forward I think North Texas is positioning our athletics to continue being successful.
- opened a new $14 million track/soccer stadium in 2018
- paying our head football coach over $1.8 million a year
- raises for other coaches and staff
- opening a new $17 million indoor practice facility this fall
- installing a new basketball court for this season
- preparing to expand and double the size of our athletic center
But, if you want to look at our past in C-USA. Since joining C-USA 6 years ago, North Texas has been to 4 bowls. Just for reference...
Most Bowl Appearances Since 2013 (organization of C-USA 3.0)
1. LA Tech (5)
1. Marshall (5)
1. MT (5)
4. North Texas (4)
4. WKU (4)
6. Southern Miss (3)
I'm not saying we don't have room to improve, but we are certainly doing as well as some of those in your top 5.
