He's currently hitting .321 in the pitcher-friendly league, with wood bats. He and his Falmouth teammate, who's starting SS on all-star team, have been swtiching between SS and 3B the past month.

FTR, that All-Star SS is the Ragin' Cajun's Hayden Cantrelle.

BTW, the Famlouth Commodores' blog today has a "Get to Know" Q&A with Trei: https://commodoresblog.wordpress.com/201...trei-cruz/

Four highlights:

Q: Do you have a nickname?
TC: I do have two nicknames. People call me “Trigger Trei” and some other people call me “Jacruzzi”.

Q: Who’s your favorite teammate?
TC: It’s hard but I gotta say Hayden Cantrelle.

Q: What’s something that no one would know about you?
TC: On Ancestry.com, I am related to Robert E. Lee.

Q: What’s your guilty pleasure?
TC: Picking on my brother. It’s my favorite thing to do.

And that explains why he decided to return to Rice for his Junior year! lol

Daily Fog | Another two-hit game for @FalCommodores Trei Cruz of @RiceBaseball last night. That’s six two-hit performances in his last seven games http://www.rightfieldfog.com/?p=7732

Given The Cape is a strongly pitcher-friendly league with wood bats and in front of the MLB scouting community, Trei's summer will surely help his stock in next year's draft....and could even put him on several pres-season all-american lists.
