It wasn’t the AD. Kleinfeld is terrible. It was Keel, and Monken, who bullied Kleinfeld.

Actually it was mainly Keel. Kleinlein wasn't brought in until Nov 2012 and we were invited in March 2013, so it's highly doubtful that TK didn't come into a situation where the talks were already ongoing.

Brooks Keel is a legend. We’re so lucky to have gotten someone like that when we did. I wish he was still around.

He's still around and continues to be an advocate for GS. He may well have his most significant impact after leaving. Time will tell.

Not really, most of CUSA east has taken a backseat to the west schools for too long when it comes to basketball tourney locations, conference headquarters etc. We had Houston, Rice, UTEP, SMU before, now we have UTSA, UTEP, Rice, UTSA, UNT. That is over a quarter of the conference, headquarters in Dallas, basketball tourney is bush league, in Dallas. Our premier bowl went from Memphis, to.....Dallas. It's not just Marshall fans that are upset with this crap.

Agreed.

The top basketball programs, especially in support are located in the East. Our crappy Texas based conference decides to put the basketball tournament in Texas.

I don't hate Texas. I hate being in a conference centered around Texas.
