It was announced today he will be the new AD and basketball coach at Altamont, the private high school in Bham.

Barry Bearden was a West End HS grad (as was his brother Robert) who played for Gene Bartow at UAB and then was Jim Hilyer's QB on our first UAB club FB team. His mother was a UAB medical employee as well. I hope he has "landed on his feet" where ever he has moved if not still at Altamont School.

If he can coach there or at another state public school for 25 years he will have a TRS pension to supplement what he might have from his years with the B'ham Police Dept (for several years Barry was the school's "resource officer" at Ramsay HS).

Much Respect too him - That must of been when John Whitcomb to the program to 9 and 3 or whatever. On a side note think Whitcomb was Brett Farves Back up any way congratulations.
