Basketball Schedule Release Date
Planning a trip to Memphis. Typically, when is the full schedule released? Thanks in advance.

September. Can't do it until after the NBA releases its schedule, since the Grizz are the primary tenant. NBA usually releases mid to late August.

Come early. Come often. GTG!

And if you're planning a trip to see them anyway, try the Bahamas in August.

And the reason the NBA waits so long is to try to ensure that schools like Memphis and others in same market with a NBA team are second class citizens particularly when they share a facility. NFL, MLB are much earlier.

NBA is becoming more like pure entertainment (WWE or whatever is popular now) with greed as opposed to a well ran professional sports league with all the BS they do now.

Basketball Schedule Release Date
The NBA has a fun, more free flowing style though. You can muck the game up with unathletic bigs in college. Most of those dudes have gone the way of the dinosaur in the league.

Yes...the NBA sets their schedule release dates in order to keep Memphis and a couple of schools down. Damn the man!

You're delusional.

Completely out of touch with reality.

It’s more than a couple. NBA was a big part of UCLAs decline in the early 80s; one study showed that of the 340 some odd D1 basketball teams that got the least bang for the buck (wins/spending): the bottom 10 were all in proximity to NBA markets.

The Oregon game is going to be a fun one. Wiseman and DJ against Walker and Lawson is good stuff... Prichard and Duarte good players, not sure what else Oregon has returning, Wooten? Tough opener on the road but it’s gonna be good.

RE: Basketball Schedule Release Date
With all the chatter about #1 recruiting class and the coaching staff, it's sort of disappointing we don't have at least one marquee game on the schedule. To be honest, we all understood last year might be hard to set the schedule up so late but what happened for this upcoming season? Was there no way to get into a big tournament? set up a neutral against a bigger brand than NC State?

RE: Basketball Schedule Release Date
Tennessee is easily a much better program than NC State, and we are in a tournament with Villanova, Utah, Mississippi State, and Baylor.
