Ha! Visit us again in 30 years when the younguns are all talking about the dude with the old school UC ink. Well done!

No
The current logo is showing its age. It comes from an era when logos used italics fonts or slanted fonts to show motion and energy. Every 10 to 15 years UC has updated its athletic logos and it’s about that time again. The entire athletic branding from the C-PAW to the Cartoon Bearcat need a refresh. The entire athletic brand looks like it came from a children’s TV show.
I would go back to the original C-PAW and start from there with making a new one. Add in a modern version of the angry Bearcat and the interlocking UC and add in a lot of red.
UC’s school colors are not black and white. I remember reading when the red cartoon uniforms came out how the athletics office was concerned that there were a lot of red teams in the region so using black and white makes them standout. That is dumb, red is a school color. Too bad Louisville, Ohio State, Miami, Dayton, and Indiana all use a version of red. The Cincinnati Reds are also red. So many red teams, can’t use red everyone will be confused. It’s such a dumb mindset from athletics that it actually belittles the fans and consumers.
Some very good points. I would go back to the old c-paw. Cartoon Bearcat relegated to just Bearcat's baby apparel. I would emphasize black and red. Historically the black uni's were our trademark. Even my non-UC fans loved the all black ones. Red and black should be the standard. They were so successful all of the local teams adopted some form, such as Loserville, Columbus State. Let's get back to what made UC standout.

I don't have any tattoos. I'm starting to think I'm who people will be talking about in 30 years. :)

I want to see a "Cincy" script incorporated into our design.
And with the bicentennial, surely we can get some throwback logos on jerseys this year for home games.

I don't know why, but I can't stand the "Cincy" abbreviation for Cincinnati.

I love Cincy. I actually miss the odd C-PAW Cincy logo from the 1990's.
School songs Cheer Cincinnati, Give a Cheer, and As The Backs Go Tearing By all refer to the team as Cincy in lyrics.
UC and Cincy are not used enough in the athletics branding.

Historically speaking the school has referred to itself as Cincy since the early 20th century. There are even references to Cin’ti in the early 1900s and 1910s in the school yearbooks. Other names include UofC and U.C. As opposed to just UC.

It just seems it is not that hard to say Cincinnati.
Picture some of these:
Let's go Tenny!
Let's go Michy!
I love Missy!
I guess Missouri does do Missou, though I never understood why.

I've never cared much for the "Cincy" moniker, either. I think nicknames have to stick and they only stick because they work.
Cincy...IMO... does not work.
Plus, if we start going by Cincy then that will give tools like coastal juan from ECU the go ahead to start referring to us as "Cindy".

What I hate more is the Kirkster's use of "Cincinnatuh." I just want to shoot a nerf bazooka at him when he does that.

Meh. ECU beats us a few times in hoops and they beat their chests. Remind Coastal Juan that he roots for East Carolina Technical College and they've done nothing to improve our league since joining.

That’s how I pronounce it and I’m from here. Is that wrong? In my defense, I’m 1/2 hillbilly.

Uh... If you look at the schools you cited, I think you'll find that their fans rarely say "Tennessee" or "Michigan" or "Mississippi".
Just saying...
(And, for the record, it's Mizzou for Missouri...)

Eh... "Cindy" (and the stupid misspelling "Cincinatti") is just a sign of disrespect and jealousy. Every time I hear one of those nimrods go off on the "Cindy" rant, I know we're winning.
And, as far as reciprocation, all you have to do is add the "ERN" to their ridiculous college name (e.g. "Eastern Carolina University") and that usually pisses them off. It's a much more natural and easy slight than "Cindy." (Heck, even Susan Herbst called USF "The University of SouthERN Florida in the official "We're Leaving" letter from UConn...)
