RE: Memphis Center James Wiseman dishes on upcoming season
Obviously I'm a homer, but doesn't this kid just seem like a genuinely good guy?? Like somebody you grew up with in church or something. Really so proud he's a Tiger.

that's really a great way to put that
yes he does
and unlike DRose or Reke, he came to play for the university, city and the coach, not just the coach

James has more charisma and carries himself better than anyone since Elliot then Penny. I think he will be a lifetime Tiger and Memphis good citizen and philanthropist. DeAngelo recently tweeted every thing he did in football was for the money so he doesn’t qualify.

Screw that, he leveraged his best asset just like anyone would and I don't blame him one bit.
He's an outstanding ambassador for the university.

He really does seem like a grounded kid. Mom obviously played a roll in that - as seen from keeping him in HS for his senior year despite all the pressure to grad early and head to college. Not saying that's a bad decision for all, but in James' case it indicates his grounding.
But make no mistake...he came to play for Penny. Just like he moved to Memphis to play HS for Penny. Without Penny, he is in Lexington right now.
