My guess is those 3 are being greyshirted.

I would bet that’s correct. Both Gaines and Hill are fully referenced as UT attendees on their Twittter headers. There are too many Elijah Griffins to sift through.

Danzel McKinley Lewis did get a medical RS and is still a Jr. as he only appeared in only 3 games in 2018. The new RS rule is a plus. Under the former rule he would’ve appeared in one game too many and would be a Sr for 2019.

Tyrone Chambers’ new weight is 360#. It was 325 last season.

It will be interesting if to see if he is actually the new higher weight and if he is is that why his portal options seemed few and limited and why he returned to UT.

My guess is that Willie Gaines will never be a Rocket. He has deleted all references to UT in his Twitter header and as usual his tweets indicate that he is completely lost in the world. IMHO it appears that he may have burned some bridges with the staff.

My understanding is that Winstead will have to sit out a year IF he was on athletic scholarship at NSU.

So, with the new depth chart, where did Michael Key come from, as he is on the depth chart but not the roster.

Still not seeing on either list the reported JUCO additions: AJ Harrison, David Robinson and Trey Fullwood.

And I am worried for the "safety" of this 70# strong safety on the depth chart.

I never knew that criteria, I though it just had to do with quarters played or something; I know there were some changes made a year or so a go, too.

So I found NSU's 2017 recruiting announcement and he is on the list. It looks like he went there right from high school and his bio shows he played in 11 games in both 2017 and 2018. I don't know if that guarantees he was on scholarship, but I would sure assume so.

There is a bunch of his HS video HERE. It doesn't look like he has Jon'Vea speed, but to me it looks like he runs good routes, blocks, and has excellent hands. He makes some real acrobatic catches. Looks like a pretty serious football player.
