The one thing that stands out, other than the youth, is the tremendous size this team has.
We're certainly bigger than we've been. But we're pretty much in the middle of the AAC.
Our team avg height is 77.8 inches. Average team height for AAC rosters updated (Houston, SMU, Wichita are not updated for the upcoming year) is 77.7 inches. We are taller than only Cincy, Temple, Tulsa, USF.
That’s only because of Harris is so small. Probably the smallest in the AAC.
You're right about the averaging, and Harris is the smallest in the AAC. My only point is that there are other teams with size in the AAC. I don't have the numbers in front of me right now, but when I was researching, I was shocked at how many 7-footers are in the league. Probably 4-5 other teams. We are not going to simply roll in and outsize people - it's going to take talent too. Good thing we have that.
Talent is the key for sure. Size doesn’t always matter. Look at the way we handled UCF last year.
