I've only gone one time to Starbucks and truthfully I didn't even know what to order. I wasn't impressed, I like my Folgers coffee better. Anyway, someone gave me a Starbucks gift card and I can't even remember when I got it. I hear that they sell donuts there too and if they do I'll be using the card to get some donuts. I'll bring my own coffee, LOL.

Now, on the thread subject, if I was the barista I would have told that pink hat that everyone is welcome there as she/he is and if she/he felt uncomfortable then she/he was welcomed to leave.

A lot of the reason for the whites only facilities is because whites did not feel safe around people of color.

The exact same types of places existed in 1960s Cincinnati for the exact same reason. The only real difference was that a much higher proportion of 1960s Mississippi was black, which meant the disenfranchisement was proportionately greater.

I wonder who the customer was that actually complained? Talk about needing a safe space.

If you're in a safe place and complaining you don't feel safe....

The person is an idiot, that's a given. I mean how insecure does one have to be to go that route? It's embarrassing.
