I'm not defending her, but I had several coaches who you could claim were physically and verbally abusive. Not mean spirited or self-serving abuse, but you would maybe call intense coaching, i.e., shoving, elbows, forearms to get you into physicality and to give you experience with tricks you'd face in games, insulting and calling you names to get you riled up and/or get your attention. Maybe society has grown beyond that sort of coach behavior. Or maybe we're too babied these days.
Yeah, grabbing the facemask to get your attention. When I was a freshman running back in high school if you missed the hole you got a lick, missed it again you got 2. Didn't hurt near as much as getting hit though or doing some of the drills.

I never had a coach that wasn’t abusive.

lol Some enjoy abusing others.
And what is a ‘lick’? Like a ruler on the hand...A board on the butt...A fist in the face?
Why don’t coaches just use a cattle prod.

Not buying it. You mean to tell me in today's society that she made racial comments three years ago and wasn't immediately fired. No f'n way that happened. Sounds more like someone wants her out before the new class comes in.

No one here knows the facts.
Might want to lay off on labeling the potential victims here as weak.

lol. Don’t bite. The ones who call them weak are either stoopid or trolling...or both.

I remember seeing the women's basketball team when they were introduced at Memphis Madness.
I was surprised at how out of shape they looked for D1 athletes.

Like having multiple losing seasons in a row and beat TN and get a big contract extension?

Because it is basically a throw-away sport. It wasn't going to compete for conference title due to the previous existence of UConn in the conference and it was not going to be able to compete locally for talent against the SEC schools. School is required by law to have the team, so as long as no one was making any waves it was allowed to continue on in its current form.

Seems Josh and McFerrin were in a competition to see who could drive away the most kids.

what's strange, is that some kids gave her good reviews.
What's up with that?

Had he stayed at Indiana I doubt u would of seen his game develop the way it did at ISU

It didn't have to be though. With UCONN in the conference and a number of former Pat Summit players looking to be coaches, we had a golden opportunity.
