Just the assumption of a 1/4 point reduction in the prime spiked it up. The unemployment rate should have been good enough on its own to do it. But you watch there has been a lot of gold bought during a down period. I still suspect Sorros will try to tank the market starting around June of next year and with Buffet and Gates to the left it will be worth watching to see what they do. Sorros always buys gold before he attempts a manipulation.

Personally, I much prefer the FED adjustments to keep the rally moving than any kind of too big to fail moment. We can recover a free economy if the adjustments are subtle and coordinated in an effort to manipulate us around major demographic shifts that could prove destructive, like the Boomer retirements. What we can't do and keep a free economy is have another McCain/Obama moment where there is a unified front rushing in to say anyone is too big to fail because that is the antithesis of a free market.

And as long as all other nations manipulate currency for trade purposes I have less reservations over reciprocating for our own interests.

Wrong again putz. My last day of work was Tuesday July 9th, my last visit here before yesterday when I returned to work.

The Dow closed above 27k for the first time on Wednesday, July 10th.
