Summer League - Game 1
Baby Grizz blow out the Baby Jazz 85-68.

Julian Washburn showed a nice touch from 3 (5-6). Watanabe was aggressive and played really well.

Konchar showed some nice passing ability and did not look overwhelmed at all. He had a nice defensive effort with 4 steals and a block.

Overall, the Grizz had their way. A lot of true rookies on the Jazz versus a Grizz squad that has mostly second or even third year guys out there. Konchar was the only true rookie out there tonight for the Grizz.

Obviously, you can't tell much from Summer League, but it's at least a good sign that the Grizz routed a team that just had far less experience.

Game 2

Loss to the Spurs. The B team basically.

Dusty Hannahs led the way with 20. Carter, Rabb, Watanabe, and Konchar did not play.

Yeah they basically played the 2nd and 3rd string tonight. I had no clue who most of the guys were.

Game 3

Beat the Cavs, who had a bunch of guys I had literally never heard of, aside from their draft pick from Belmont Dylan Windler.

Keenan Evans filled in admirably for the traded Jevon Carter with 20.

Konchar was good again and looks like a guy Grizz fans should really be watching. Watanabe is a step ahead of these summer league guys, he's just a smart basketball player who does a bit of everything, but I'm not sure he's ever going to be any sort of impact player.

Julian Washburn continues to knock down 3s in SLC, he was 2-5 tonight from range.

Our favorite Dan Dakich is doing the Grizz - Celtics game starting now. For SL, this is pretty good. Both teams 3 - 0. Tacko Fall for the Celtics.

Allen looked like a punk in this game.

Sore loser.

I agree with all of those things, but that was an illegal screen on Williams. You can’t move when setting a pick and you certainly can’t hold a guy.

Subtle dirty plays probably happen in every game. Grayson falls for that sort of thing way too often.

Allen has never stopped looking like a punk as far as I am concerned.

RE: Summer League - Game 1
Baby Grizz beat the Celtics in the 1st Round of the Summer League Playoffs, Brandon Clarke coming up big with 18 and 12. Up next the Pelicans led by Jaxson Hayes (assuming he plays), who has had a very nice Summer League. Would be interesting to watch Brandon go up against him.

Tacko played very little this game after dominating the Grizz on Thursday night (12 pts, 8 boards, and 4 blocks). I still think there is a place in the league for that dude, even if it's very situational. You just don't see that kind of size and wingspan ever.
