Parliament of Owls - Atlanta Parade
Yesterday, I saw a poster for this event happening in Atlanta later this month. Was disappointed that it has nothing to do with this forum.

I'd never heard of a lantern parade before. Many of the owl lanterns from last year look oddly Rice-like.

Wow!! What a delightful, creative event.

The Krewe of the Grateful Gluttons! I love it!!

I've heard of Chinese Lantern Festival parades, during which children walk about their neighborhoods carrying candle-lit lanterns hung at the ends of long thin bamboo sticks.

At one in Malaysia when our daughter who was nearly 2 years old, she kept blowing out the flame of her lantern's candle ... because she'd only seen candles on birthday cakes and blowing them out is what was expected.

Interesting. Thanks for posting. Would that Rice Owls FB, BB, WBB soon deign to make an appearance in Atlanta as well.

Owls are omens of change.
Owls do not flock.
But maybe they should.

I don't see how scheduling Georgia State would advance our cause.

(I kid; a Peach Bowl appearance would be astounding)
