In a way, I'm glad it did not go to trial.
They were prepared to dishonor Lorenzen's memory as a wife-beater.
I don't believe that nonsense for a second...but in this day and age...SOMEONE on the jury may have believed it.

I know but still, it wasn't a case of self defense.

This was cold blooded premeditated murder.

She will now spend a good bit of the next 7 years authoring her book alleging why she had to defend herself against Lorenzens rage.

A trial and conviction here would have prevented that.

I do get the closure is good for Rens family and children.

This whole story is so, so sad.
