RE: Boneyard Win Video List
Thanks for the post. Watched the "Alabama highlights" by roll tide but they couldn't change the 19-16 final. Forgot what a good job Gallagher did punting.

GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too bad there isn't more video of the 2002 victory against Wake Forest. It was a fantastic win. At least the final play is there.

Love the David Kaplan and Tom Waddle announcing for those 2002-2003 games. They brought a lot of energy to the booth. Wish we could get them back to announce. Anyone know if Kap promotes NIU in anyway during the football season on his show? I mean he coached and announced at NIU......

Kaplan might've attended NIU too. My father says he was on his floor in Douglas in 79-80 and remembers Doug (Ned's brother) Colletti telling him back then Kap was going places and that Kap's dad owned dealerships star athletes bought cars from.

Although everything I've read online says Kaplan went to Hamline University, so he's probably mistaken. lol

I knew Kap pretty well in 1982-83, when he was grad assistant to NIU Men's Basketball Coach John McDougal. Yes, he was an energetic guy with a Type A personality. Kap and Johnny Mac were pretty close. I think Kap graduated from Hamline, where he played baseball, before he landed at NIU.

RE: Boneyard Win Video List
Time IMO to move this back up the thread list, at least to fill those leisure hours. And with Utah, Nebraska and Vanderbilt coming up ... which one(s) will make the list this season? Most have predicted Vanderbilt, but ... .

Also, if you find any of the "missing," please add to thread.

Go Huskies!

Time to move this back up (again), being right on top of the "boneyard" season. Also, if you find any of the "missing," please add to thread.

Doesn't Maddogz02 have highlights in his sig from prior years? I think we can find some NIU over Kansas 2012 there, and others.

Extremely low quality and unwatchable. only starting last year was I able to get then in viewable form. I think this was captured off Xbox at like 10 frames per second hahah. My favorite play from that game will always be the 14 yard QB sneak.

RE: Boneyard Win Video List
OK ... Here it is again, moved up the thread ladder to first-page prominence for the third time this season. (I'm beginning to think this thread has a jinx.) But, being the ever-optimistic Huskie fan, here it sits, waiting for that SPECIAL video to be posted for posterity. And all the Huskies have to do is ...

BEAT VANDERBILT!

(Otherwise, we wait until 9/12/2020 @ Maryland ... unless by some remote chance the Huskies play and defeat a P5 in a bowl game.)

Ps. I have also cleaned up the OP to eliminate personal comments, since this is intended as a sort of "legacy" thread by all, for all for the Dog Pound.

What is the best convertor to use to transfer a VHS to a computer and then upload to YouTube. I have the 2003 Maryland game in full on VHS and would love to toss it up on YouTube.

That's a good question and I do not really have an answer. When I used to have the VHS tapes I would just use those god awful duo VHS/DVD players. Id record it to DVD and then use a DVD Ripping program to get it to .mp4/.avi/etc. One possible idea may be to see if there is any media studio service that could do it for you. One time a long time ago I paid someone a small fee to transfer VHS to DVD

OK, I already converted the game from VHS to DVD. I'm just wondering how I can post it from DVD to YouTube.
