Any chance Temple does what UConn did?

Yep and their basketball is fine. They have held up their end of the bargain.

What about the soccer stadium or the Phillies ballpark?

Temple is happy to be where it is. Not sure why anyone would suspect otherwise. We're good conference mates, have commited to competitiveness, and don't sh!t where we eat. We produce NFL players at a clip exceeding expectations and we will build the fan following that comes with being a contributing member of a quality conference (of our peers whom we genuinely respect and try to earn the respect of). UCONN showed no such respect and made a provincial move. No thanks and no big loss.

Political red tape in Philadelphia is all it is, get the president of the United States involved and BOOM , Temple will be great again with a great new on campus stadium
Stadium stompers need to be rounded up and relocated to salt lake city

Dumb thought, not worth reading on!

RE: Any chance Temple does what UConn did?
As a Temple grad from Connecticut, the only similarities UConn and Temple share in this scenario are they're both in the Northeast (and not even the same kind of northeast). UConn is a basketball first school and owns a stadium they have little use for other than their 6 home games a year. Temple has been prioritizing football more than it has in its entire history. Winning our first conference championship game, hosting GameDay, going to four bowls in a row--all because of the AAC. We actually did the whole independence thing from 2005-06 and went 1-22. No thanks, we're going to keep our football and basketball in an unquestionably strong league. And with UConn gone, we're the #1 Northeast candidate for any P5 expansion, however unlikely.
