Problem is, most people past the immediate surrounding counties identify more with UT-K than UofM. And you have all the Memphis-centric folks on here and other media that constantly harp on the U's relation to the city.

Vols have a strategy of playing neutral site games in NFL stadiums. Plus the Bristol event thing. I don't see them coming to the Liberty Bowl outside of the bowl game. If they do though, the City should rake in some cash.

Don't fool yourself. If UT is willing to pay rent to use LBMS for a Saturday then the city will take their money. It has happened many times before and it can certainly happen again. That being said, I don't see it happening again anytime soon.

I'll just say this. Regardless of who these people in my rural community root for, I find them, on average, more sane than the average Memphian. Please don't get it twisted. I'm not saying I don't find sanity within the confines of the 240 loop. It's just more rare.
