RE: NIU Freshman Orientation
Went to the Sox game on Saturday. My son and I tailgated before the game. Brought the flagpole and flew the Sox and NIU flags. Had two different groups of people come over and start talking, saying they "had to meet the fellow Huskies with the flag." First group, woman was in town from Utah. Said she's 30 minutes from Salt Lake. She wasn't going to the game out there, but I think I convinced her. It's always fun chatting with fellow Huskies.

Looking forward to NIU Day at the Sox game on August 11. Always a good time. I'll be flying the same two flags again.

I wear Huskie gear all the time. Drives Mrs. Diehard completely bonkers.

Nice! He's a really friendly guy. I met him when he was a bouncer at a Kenosha bar called the "Somers House.". A couple of Carthage football players found out who he was, and he was telling them all about what it was like to play D1 and in the Orange Bowl. He's a real humble, hardworking dude. A couple kids on teams after him, said they came to NIU because of Anthony's mentorship.
