Yeah, let's not pick the program that's actually winning national titles and has the best football and basketball results with fandom, lets pick the one that MIGHT be there someday.

It does depend on who is taken, since whatever the AAC does, they would want to keep Navy happy. If it's only UC and Houston taken, I can see Rice being added to make a five school Western division that would satisfy Navy: Navy, SMU, Rice, Tulane, Tulsa.

If its a bigger raid of the AAC, it may be that App State and Georgia Southern come into the frame as candidates.

App State would be the #1 addition for CUSA if the Texas CUSA schools head to the MWC. That would flip CUSA and SBC in FB strength.

I think they would do it to under that circumstance to be with Marshall, Charlotte and ODU.

To the CUSA? They wouldn't. Especially without us. AAC could be a different story, but App ain't going to leave this great thing we've helped build in the SBC for the dumpster fire of a conference without their biggest rival.

And GS ain't going to that dumpster fire either.

They get better travel out of it.

I see where you are coming from, but I think WKU is the best choice. Shocking I know.

RE: Marshall best choice for AAC
I love App State and wanted them in CUSA last go around... but there’s no way they get an AAC invite over Marshall.

Marshall is a Carnegie R2 Research school and our basketball support dwarfs App States. Not to mention the whole market situation.

Let’s not pretend that App has been on a Boise State run. They haven’t done anything THAT special in football.

Your will be hated bigly for that statement.

Nah. I honestly no longer care as long as the CUSA eastern teams break away to form our own conference and I would be pumped if we could get App State, Coastal, Ga St, and Go So to join us.

Otherwise known as the CUSA approach to realignment. None of the G5 are going to have their own conference TV networks so marketz mean zilch.
