The idea that they don't recruit local kids is unfair.

IMO, I think the money we put into hockey is the money that Kent puts into baseball. Their pitching coach makes more $ than almost every HC in the league (outside of Maloney). Turf, lights, hitting facility. Check out pictures of Miami's baseball stadium. It's pretty incredible.

Makes sense.

FWIW it seems to me hockey is a better investment given climate issues. Then again, from an exposure standpoint KSU's CWS run probably got more attention than any college hockey achievement.

Yeah, I generally agree. If only baseball was played during the summer

Hockey might be better investment as cost of football insurance soars higher.

...or if baseball was played when it's actually supposed to be played?

Changing the college baseball calendar has been discussed for years if not decades.

Ain't gonna happen anymore than SEC schools taking up hockey.

Interesting, did not know that existed.

Doubt that SECHC takes any money away from SEC baseball though.

It appears that the SEHC is all "club hockey," and not school-sponsored varsity sports.

And with all the money SEC football brings in (especially now with SEC network) - probably a different deal than MAC baseball anyway..

Cool seeing this here! I pitched at PN and Michigan and coached Henry and Keizer when they were in high school. My brother and I went to Omaha and saw tons of familiar faces. It was a lot of fun. Also, I want to go on the record here predicting that Criswell will pitch in the show.
