Have you ever seen the bucket of bacon at Blue Ash Chili? Looks fantastic!

Some of you all are absolutely ridicoulous. Boycotting Skyline because they signed a deal with UK is childish and shows a frightening level of insecurity.

Bacon is natures most nearly perfect food. It improves anything you put it on.

Blue Ash, Camp Washington, Empress, Dixie, Price Hill, Pleasant Ridge, Chili Time, even Gold Star. Skyline won't be getting my business, that's for sure.

Lawrenceburg Indiana's Gold Star tastes much better than Skyline .

Skyline...Goldstar... Their stuff is mass-produced, franchised, chain-store stuff. They'd probably job it out to the Chinese and sell it in 55-gallon drums if they thought they could turn a bigger profit.

For authentic Cincinnati Chili, you need to go to the one-off joints like Camp Washington.

And if you can't tell the difference, you might as well buy and eat Hormel's.

Are you from Cincinnati originally? I always find that the non-Cincinnatians (with whom I am grouped) don't really care because it all tastes roughly the same.

A Cincinnati area lifer (other than spending my freshman year of college in Rock Hill, South Carolina). I taste a difference but not enough that I feel passionately about 1 over the other. I like them all. I feel like people's strong preference generally come from where their family went for their Cincinnati Chili fix.

I eat more skyline than anything because that's where my wife's family goes.

Born in Cinti and lived much of my life in town and I agree with Mark. There are definite differences, but they are all a "yes please" for me. Skyline is easily my lifetime volume leader and I guess I"d call Skyline my favorite (Clifton specifically) if I had to name one although Empress was a real contender back when I knew where one was. Haven't had Blue Ash in a long while but used to go there a lot even though it was a clear step down from Skyline/Gold Star imo. Camp Washington is legit too and now I'm fired up to give the new 513-way a try!

On one visit to Cincy, my wife and I ordered six-ways at Blue Ash. The sixth way consisted of a generous number of jalapeno poppers. She ate only a couple of hers, and in the spirit of "waste-not, want-not," I ate all of mine plus the rest of hers. Had I known the effect it would have on me later, I'd have put a roll of toilet paper in the freezer before heading for the restaurant.
