June is Pitt recruiting time
Last year Pitt held a Father's Day weekend recruiting event and got 9 commits from it that Sunday.

This year Pitt had an event on Father's Day and garnered 5 commitments by Monday. This weekend, Pitt had another recruiting event and got 6 commits on Saturday. That is 11 commits in about 10 days. Narduzzi is focusing in a few additional top end guys, but the class is almost complete.

On Rivals, our recruiting class went from the 60s to 22 in the space of 10 days.

By rivals rankings
Aydin Henningham - WR - FL 4*
Jahvante Royal - DB - FL 4*
Dayon Hayes - DT - PA 3*
Timothy Brown - DE - FL 3*
Solomon DeShields - Ath - NJ 3*

But they all have good P5 offers
Hayes had offers from Michigan, Penn State, and other top programs
Brown had offers from FL, FSU, Penn State, Nebraska, Auburn
DeShields had offers from Mich St, VT, Auburn, Iowa St, Kentucky
Even the lowest ranked commits, one had offers from ND, Maryland, VT, UVA
The other had offers from LSU, Cuse, Purdue and BC

I personally trust an offer sheet over some recruiting website's eval based on the underwear olympics.

RE: June is Pitt recruiting time
June always seemed like that productive recruiting month. I'm happy to see this past week seemed to be more productive than the past. We shall see if these kids pan out or not. Recruiting is always a crapshoot. Sometimes a 2* kid ends up being more productive than a 5* kid.

Hopefully the Hokies follow suite shortly. Fuente and company did very well last year with last-minute signings, but it's hard on the old nerves to wait so long as a fan...

Nice work.

Louisville's had a similar stretch of commitments.

Of your list, I like Jahvante Royal the best --- because his name is awesome. I know nothing about his game ... but with a name like that, you better be good.

Did recruiting get a boost after making the ACCCG? Or about the same?

It is definitely up this year. But last year we were coming off a losing season so you'd expect a better year this year.

I saw you landed Chubba Purdy. That is the second best QB name in the league behind Kenny Pickett.

Side note off topic to the ACC, it will be difficult for anybody to beat former Vol QB...

Pitt landed Israel Abanikanda yesterday. 3* on Rivals with offers from BC, Duke, VT, Syracuse in the ACC along with TN, WVU, Purdue, Cal, and Vandy.

This morning Pitt got it's first '21 recruit. Nahki Johnson a LB from the Pittsburgh area. 3* on Rivals, but his offer sheet includes Michigan, Miss State, Penn State, WVU, Syracuse, and VT.
