Without, the Big East and ACC will hold sway on every top recruit. Now if UConn and UMass can somehow join the Mac for football-only, they'll both be set.

Huge hit, The AAC best brand just left for another conference. Comparable to Duke leaving the AAC. No other AAC comes close to the titles and prestige of UConn basketball men’s and womens

Sounds like the AAC was a burden for program such as UConn. And they will be able to make up the exit fee in short order once they leave the AAC.

I will still say that this assumed realignment circa 2023-2025 may very well have ZERO effect on C-USA.

Not if involves the implosion of the B12 which is very likely.

Yet for all that money, they're the worst FBS team in the country and for the past 5 years finished between 5th and 9th in basketball. Your article references Wbball which produces as much revenue as their football team and could probably beat them in a scrimmage, lol. Their Mbball averaged 7800--below the women--and their football team averaged 20,000.

and what did they get for all their spending...a 41 million dollar deficit that's about to get 17 million dollars worse, that's what.

My guess is you are going to have the "Misfit 6" of K-State, Iowa State, TCU, Texas Tech, Baylor and WVU. As Texas and Oklahoma do what they threatened to do in 2011 and head off to the PAC whatever, and I think they take Oklahoma State and Kansas with them. If Kansas doesn't go then I look for them to be a travel partner with Nebraska and go to the Big10.

At that time the "Misfit 6" will decimate the AAC and take 4-6 schools. But that conference just like the BE will lose power status and ESPN gets what they have wanted since the early 90s, 4 power conferences.

Actually backwards...expenses was $83 million with revenue around $40 million. UCF revenue is supposed to be over $70 million next year. Almost double UConn.

RE: UConn "On Verge of Joining BE"
There is news on potential AAC expansion.

In sum, Commissioner Mike Aresco said on 10/14/19 the AAC will seriously consider a new member in the unlikely event the NCAA denies the AAC’s waiver request.

His statement appears to make expansion option B (a new emphasis if I recall correctly).

That’s what UConn is saying for now. But we’ve seen the template for that: UMass and New Mexico State. So I question how long that scenario will last.
