NBA Draft
Congrats to the 2 CAA players drafted- Brantley and Wright-Foreman. Well-deserved. Hope both make Utah's squad. Quite the year to end up with 2 drafted players.

RE: NBA Draft
https://twitter.com/JerryBeach73/status/...2301209601 says it was the first time the CAA had two players drafted since UNCW's Matt Fish and Richmond's Curtis Blair in 1992, which is before any of the players drafted were born.

Utah supports mid-majors. In a span of 9 picks, they drafted Brantley, Wright-Foreman, and Miye Oni from Yale. Then they signed Frankie Ferrari of San Francisco, who is in the West Coast Conference with Gonzaga. With St. John's not getting Shamorie Ponds drafted, Wright-Foreman and Oni were the only players drafted from schools northeast of Philadelphia. Vasa Pusica wasn't drafted, but he already played where the Utah Jazz plays. That was three months ago in the NCAA Tournament. Before Wright-Foreman, the last player to win POY back-to-back was Towson's Jerrelle Benimon. He wasn't drafted, and played 2:44 combined in 2 games for Utah on March 10 and 12, 2015.

The CAA made https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDf6tMlz46c for Brantley and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGmsizo99EA for Wright-Foreman.

In 2019 and 1992, the CAA players drafted were 50th and 53rd. If you count Brantley whose rights were traded as being drafted by Utah, half of the six CAA players drafted since the northern schools joined were drafted by Utah, who drafted Eric Maynor in 2009. Maynor was the first CAA player drafted since 1999. The CAA has had 6 players taken in the last 11 drafts, with Larry Sanders, Charles Jenkins, and Marcus Thonrton being the other three.
