Defensive signees Jamal Abrams, Kevin Penn, Shaakir Smith and Kelle Sanders not yet on roster. Anyone know their status?

Abrams was one of the more interesting guys we signed. A former High level SEC recruit who gained 40 pounds and lost .5 seconds on his 40 time after his junior year, causing bigger schools to stop recruiting him. Wonder what happened to him.

Sanders will arrive in Aug for fall camp. Don’t know about the others.

Great news, now looking for confirmation on Shaq Smith and Kevin Penn

every position looks good but the Safety position, knot saying the safeties do knot have talent but they are short hope they have talent no 6'3 or 6'4 guys back their, every thing else looks good. in other words no izells back their.

Right no izell Reese back there. We’re fine at safety we have 10-11 guys for depth and the three safety base package we run.

Did you or anyone else ever find out more about Penn? It was always a little weird that his only two offers were an SEC school and us, and given that we were offering him as an offensive linemen last i heard (aka we didn't feel he was athletic enough to play DT) i'm doubtful how solid that Ole Miss offer really was.

Strong kid but I’m starting to doubt him and smith show up. Happy to get Sanders and abrams.
