It's a good thing marijuana is decriminalized in NC otherwise it wouldn't just be an "internal" matter.

Agreed it should be legal and all past possession charges should be expunged. However, in the mean time you gotta be smarter than that.

It's not just big phrama. The United States is a corporate run oligarchy. Big "everything" is why prices are skyrocketing and wages aren't increasing. The economy improving means nothing if purchasing power for the average person is decreasing.

There's 1 and only 1 good reason for legalization and that's for tax revenue. We has as humans are better than that for all other reasons.

I'd like to take all opioids (basically barely-modified heroin) and put them all on a deserted isle and nuke it. Then I'd replace them all with THC-based drugs.

But yeah, the people that think you can just use it casually with no worries. That goes too far for me.

How about medical uses for kids with epilepsy, for cancer patients who need it for appetite means and pain, what about veterans that need it for anxiety and any one who suffers from insomnia?


Another bonus would be to lower the overhead needed in our courts, jails and police departments.

And then we can look at who criminalization affects the most. Usually minorities.

This isn't an argument in either direction (although I'm pro-legalization) but outright prohibition of anything has rarely shown a positive impact. There's a middle ground to be found.

I've yet to see anyone wreck a car, injure themselves or others, or do really stupid stuff under the influence of sweet tea.

Reason has been around a lot longer than that, and marijuana legalization is only issue they write about.
