Also, are those standing areas below with counters?

Like RamblinRW said, the covered areas are the bars/concessions for the endzone seating. This is premium seating and you can't get in there without tickets in the endzone. The "standing area" that you mentioned will have bar height table and chairs in those areas during the season.

We also have a new convention center/hotel (Embassy Suites) next to the stadium, which should be open in September. I grabbed some pics from our board that will show you the concession/bar area and the convention center

No waterfall pics? :D

Seriously, the convention center/hotel project is interesting. Do you have more info? I wish Troy would get sth like this right next to the stadium or opposite of Trojan Center.

What kind of info are you looking for?
A whole novel could be written on getting a convention center in Jonesboro. This is the 3rd location that was attempted, and finally worked out. A 4th attempt was made and we were going to have 2 convention centers in Jonesboro, but that project fell apart. The hotel/convention center is owned by O'Reilly Hospitality Management. There will be a hospitality management program at ASU that is partnering with the hotel. It will have a Houlihan's restaurant. 202 rooms. 40,000 sqft convention center.

It is also going to make traffic around the arena and stadium a LIVING nightmare lol
But my wife is stoked for Houihan's lol

It may not be too bad. I think they are going to move the practice fields to the North of the stadium, next to the IPF, and will convert them to parking.

Looks pretty cool driving up the hill on 544 stadium is on top of the road now.

It’s not really the visitors side

That is more of a high school term anyway

It’s bigger and has the major suite

Any football stadium renovations coming for the warhawks? Hate to say it but it seems every team that fields football in the conference has either completed upgrades, announced upgrades, or are in the midst of renovations except the warhawks over the last 5 years. All stadiums in the belt will look very modern except the warhawks once cajun field renovations and the new South Al stadium are completed aside from Malone stadium. What's the plan warhawks?

USA seems to always be building something, but in regards to athletic facilities we have a couple projects currently underway. Everyone knows about the football stadium, but we just tore down the Jon Lieber Clubhouse for baseball. We will be replacing it with a new state of the art clubhouse that will almost double the size of its predecessor.

Here's a clip from May 23rd from the east sideline.

As always, here is the live feed for the construction.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHo1CjRF...e=youtu.be

I'm sure there will be a new drone footage flying over the sight coming out in the 2 weeks.

We are also updating the videoboard and redoing the floor for the Mitchell Center.

I agree we need way more upgrades. We did add a football field house a couple years ago and just completed a nice new training facility inside the stadium. Need way more though eslyformthe fan experience.

Lots of recently completed and ongoing construction on campus.

Completed in the last few months:
$125mm engineering building,
$62.5mm upgrade to Strahan Arena (bball/vball)
$70mm health professions (Round Rock)

Under construction/planning:
$125mm STEM building
$20mm STAR research park
$65mm music building
~$100mm dorms
another $70mm health professions (Round Rock)

As far as athletics:
The upgrade to Strahan was huge, no more wall, facelift to the whole facility including a new club area.

The baseball and softball fields got a nice facelift before the season...turf for both fields, replacing the baseline walls with brick. They were supposed to put up the old football video boards in the ballparks, but they haven't yet. They're sitting in storage behind the outfield wall...maybe next year.

Football upgraded the videoboards before last season. They're really nice. Here's a picture:

Thanks,

I guess they want to impress everyone when Auburn comes to the Mitchell Center near the beginning of basketball season.

They did an interview with Ty yesterday for a father's day vid and you can see them putting them up in the background.

Baseball also built new visitor's bullpen and bathrooms prior to the 2019 season.

No more shuttling back and forth from the 188 Practice Facility to the GSU Stadium. Never. Again. Not. A. Single. Time. More. The team can eat, practice, study, watch films, conduct team meetings, lift weights, practice some more, take naps/watch movie/play xbox, or whatever else all under one roof from this point on.

not gonna lie, this makes me emotional a little. we came from lifting weights under temporary tents to having a proud football ops center with a built-in training facility. Really tough road to starting a FBS team from nothing. One day.. once GSU football achieves some sort of consistent success, this is a story worthy of making a netflix documentary.
