I’ve done some solid tailgating in a parking deck in the past

A lot of tailgating for the Carolina Panthers games are in parking decks, and it was still a great time.

What about grilling in a parking deck and local fire codes. Or do everything have to be precooked?
Just asking, for a friend.

RE: Protective Stadium Design Approved
Tailgating is about fellowship with good food and drink among friends. The food can be brought in or prepared on site on electric grills (if fire codes permit). Open fires like we got used to at Legion Field may not be permitted around the new stadium. We will just have to adapt our practices to the new conditions as we find out about them. Another possible adaptation may result from the enclosed spaces of the new stadium being used as additional "warming areas" if game times coincide with bitterly cold weather.

I suspect parking will drift toward the old Carraway hospital and their parking deck. Perhaps some tailgating spaces will be available along the route. Also, to the east of the stadium across the street is some vacant space(early-on anyway as I've seen a prior stadium rendering that showed a possible hotel and/or parking deck there). Also, perhaps some under highway parking/tailgate space, as well.

I see the potential for Carraway use as well.

It, will and should and will be ready that's half the reason they approved the concept, I have faith in Justin Craft and Chris Jones and company.

One of the designers posted on Reddit saying it wouldn't be ready for the opening ceremony of the World Games in July 2021.
Just be ready by August of 2021.
Again, according to one of the designers, the renderings that were put out today are still not the final product and they're only approximately 50% done with design work. While the site grading work will hopefully start in July, apparently the construction documents (allowing structural work to begin) won't be ready until November. So you're talking about construction work on the actual structure not starting until November or December at the earliest.
Based on that, even having it ready for our 2021 opener seems optimistic.
They will hold out until the last second to put that together believe me pal it will be a stay of execution, before they release it, But they will its built and put together.

The block immediately east of the south end of the stadium will be vacant until they build the proposed third bjcc hotel and its parking deck. The highway ramp that occupied that site is being relocated in the rebuild.

If you've ever been to Vandy, they shut the streets DOWN around the stadium and tailgate in the area. Grant Vandy may own the streets around the stadium, but that is an option. I'm sure the businesses would have something to say about that idea.

At ECU they do a lot of the tailgating in parking lots of nearby businesses and shopping centers. Same at Marshall.
