I don't see an MWC team being undefeated. I think Memphis can lose one more game than their champ and still get the slot. Almost no other G5 team has a shot, even if they go undefeated.

The only time I can remember it snowing in the real Cotten Bowl was 1970 when The Shorthorns played Notre Dame and let a 30+ halftime lead vanish. I was back in Memphis that evening and it was mighty icy there as well. Inside beats outside in January.

You would know better than I would, but I'm surprised that's the only snowy/icy Cotton Bowl in the actual Cotton Bowl.

DFW is a very cold place that time of year.

From umy recollection it is. I have watched every game since 1958 and although the temperature has dropped to the low teens and below I’ve never seen snow (and that was mostly ice) except 1970. I could be wrong...
