I would argue with you over that. Our top 5 or 6 are =/> than their bottom 6. Maybe a few of us will take a big step forward this season.

One is the team I grew up with being an Austin native. And the other is where I went to school. There was Liberty Bowl chatter about it the year we played Iowa State. Other than that it has never been an issue for me.

Tigers and Horns in Basketball is a different story. It’s Tigers all the way!

Actually, he has been pretty accurate with us in the last few years. From bad to good predictions.

Which part? The fact that we play so many cream puffs? Or the fact that we play so many of the tougher teams away, particularly late in the schedule.

the part where you guys claim the schedule will keep us out of contention for these bowls.

I would like to get a measure of revenge on Texas for conspiring with Disney (ESPN) execs for sabotaging expansion and the Tigers getting into a power conference in football. Pretty good basketball conference too.

So true! That thought continues to make me want to see the mighty UT someday gravel at UM feet. I enjoy rewatching the video of us snatch their big plans on making a giant run in the NCAA tourney in 2008. Maybe someday we won’t have to play all the Texas teams within 50 miles of their homes.

If the AAC champ has the same number or fewer losses as any other G5 champ, we get the Access Bowl slot. If we have one greater loss than the best other G5 champ, we more than likely get the Access slot - the exception being if there is an undefeated champ elsewhere and we have a loss.

OOC opponents do not matter for this.

I will say a one loss Memphis get the Access Bowl regardless of any other G5 champ, with the possible exception of Fresno St. I think wins over Minn and USC would give them a very strong case as an undefeated team. Boise St's schedule isn't tougher than ours, unless FSU actually wins more games (I don't see them being better than ole miss this year).
