I'm actually shocked that Ohio State wasn't the most hated team in South Carolina. Despite having never beaten either in state team the Suckeye fans who have left Ohio to move to South Carolina and those who only vacation here have made such an imprint that it spawned stuff like this:






But I understand why South Carolina is up there. They've done more to marginalize every state supported institution that wasn't under the UofSC label and just about as much to marginalize every UofSC institution that wasn't UofSC-Columbia that it's understandable why they are the most hated.

Personally, the only teams I hate are Clemson, Georgia, and Tennessee. Indifferent to everyone else.

Clemson is an obvious choice with the Gamecocks. As an Ohio State fan, like a certain overly obsessed Clemson fan on here pointed out, even though we are 0-3 against them, we dont really even think of them. It makes me smile to see their obsession with Ohio State though.

When ESPN comment sections weren't ran by Facebook, I would get on there often to discuss certain topics. That is when my hate got really bad towards Tennessee. Their fans were the biggest trolls on there and it wasn't even close.

I remember the bowl games against you guys. You had a kid from, I believe Troy Ohio? He just ran crazy on Ohio State.

Interesting map. It's 3 years old, but more than 5 years after the disintegration of the original Big 12, Nebraska is still the most hated school in Colorado, Texas is still the most hated school in Nebraska, and Kansas and Missouri still hate each other.

Meanwhile, 20+ years after the Hogs joined the SEC, LSU is the most hated school in Arkansas. In a previous generation, that would have been Texas.

These things take time to change.

I like Brannen as well. With the top 3 leading scorers and the addition of Jarron Cumberland's cousin, Jaevin, as a grad transfer the 2019 will be a fun team to watch this year. Brannen's already got an ESPN Top 100 recruit in the fold for 2020, with 4 more scholly's available for that class.

Yep, Ryan Brewer. Solid player for us on those teams, he was on a mission against you guys for sure haha.

Agree on UT. Their fans are the worst and somehow them being bad for 10 years has made them worse.

Hate is such a strong word but if I had to say the college team I hate the most it would have to those Goat Humping Hillbillys from Appalachian St.

Other than App St. I would add I have a total disrespect and loathing for both Georgia and Georgia St.

I wish the state of Utah focused on P12 schools to hate (USC, Washington, Oregon seem look good choices), same with Colorado. Also kinda funny the state of New Mexico hates Baylor.

BYU has earned that spot on the map.

Not a lot of surprises there. Nevada's hatred for Alabama is a surprise as well as Vermont and New Hampshire's hatred of Alabama and Auburn.

Interesting that Connecticut and Rhode Islands most hated team is Boston College. Yet Massachusetts most hated team is Ohio State. I would have thought Massachusetts most hated team would have at least been an ACC school if not Connecticut.

Same dynamic in the state of Texas. If you're not a Longhorn fan, you hate them. They're everyone's biggest rival.

The University of Texas and West Virginia U are the 2 schools in my Universe that bite me.

Baylor. Always Baylor. No one else is close.

BYU, Utah, Idaho, and the Suckeyes for me. Notre Dame is a distant 5th.

There is a difference in obsession and hatred. WVU has no reason to be obsessed with Pitt, they just hate them. WVU has had a lot more success on the field/court than there rivals up north. I think thats just good 'ol fashioned hate for a rival.
