RE: Forrest Goodman RIP
Forrest had the patience of a saint on the Tiger post-game show. Truly a reflection of his professionalism, sincerity and all-around 'goodness'. The manner in which he fielded calls from the some of the 'local yokels' was a testimony to what a great guy and great Memphian he was. Way, way, way, way too young (he wasn't even 49 years old).

I hate to hear this. I knew he was missing some broadcast time for "illness" over the last year or two. I always wondered how serious it was. He seemed to be a great man.

Quote:From Forrest Goodman wife.

Last night I lost my love ... he meant the world to me and to our baby girl Abby. I am so thankful for each and every day we got to spend with him. He was an awesome husband, dad, son and friend.

We thank you so much for your sweet comments, text, calls and prayers. Your love is really helping us though this tough time.

We wanted to let everyone know that we have scheduled Forrest’s Celebration of Life.

Date: Saturday June 15, 2019
Location: Bartlett Baptist Church
3465 Kirby Whitten Pkwy
Bartlett, TN 38135
Visitation at 9:00
Service at 11:00

He would not have wanted anyone wearing Black ... so please come out in your Tiger colors (no orange).

Maybe in lieu of 'prayers' we could find out if the family needs money. Perhaps setup a GoFundMe and donate or in the very least, send flowers to the family. Something constructive, tangible.

He will be missed. Much missed.

Go set it up and drop a link here.

I'm in.

To people of faith prayer given and received is constructive and tangible. Flowers, Gofundme, physical presence are good also.

1-4...Yes yes yes and yes. Like many here, I have experienced death (and all of the expressions of love/sympathy that you mentioned) before.

Wow, I had no idea he was suffering an imminent terminal condition.
Tiger Nation will miss you Goodman. The first thing I've always done after a game is turn on your post-game show.

You will be missed brother. You were part of the heart of Memphis Tiger community. RIP.

RIP, Mr. Goodman. You will be missed. Just like Mr. Hartledge many years ago, you were way too young to leave us. This man will maintain a special place in the hearts of Tiger fans for years to come.
