Question about upcoming bowl arrangements
I was reading one of the other boards on here and if I read the article and the related comments correctly all of the 16 ESPN owned bowls (including Cure, Camilla, and MB) are going dropping tie-ins and going into a pool for ESPN to pick games based on best regional matchups. Is this correct, and if so, thoughts?

I think it probably won't change much but might give some exciting opportunities for different venues/destinations

RE: Question about upcoming bowl arrangements
The Sun Belt is lucky to have only 3 Bowl Games controlled by ESPN. The MBB is already setup almost in a bowl pool fashion, with three tie-ins. I'm sure the Cure and Camellia will be turned into that as well. This might open other bowls for us too, like the Boca Bowl or Bahamas Bowl (which, puke).

I'd be willing to bet a buck that the NO Bowl and Mobile Bowl will continue a direct tie-in approach with the Sun Belt.

With MBB being at CCU's stadium, I bet we get that one more often than not, too.

I wouldn't mind that. Could get to go to some new bowls. Dallas, Fort Worth, Frisco, and Birmingham would all be easy trips for us.

That looks more like they didn't want to put in the effort to list out all the bowls for each G5 conference.

Reads more like lazy writing.

Wait, when did the Cure Bowl become an ESPN-owned game? It's aired on CBSSN in years past.

This is the last Cure Bowl on CBSSN. ESPN bought it earlier in the spring and will start to air it on their network in 2020. It also moved to OCSC stadium

Sounds like NOLA signed a direct tie with CUSA—-so I suspect you are right. Looks like almost a certainty that NOLA will be SB vs CUSA for all 6 years. I was hoping the AAC would grab the other side of that bowl vs the SB—-but for some reason we have an aversion to any permanent tie west of Birmingham.
