IF we get the state of the art 21st century stadium many are anticipating. So far the design has been all talk and crossed fingers with nothing on final "blueprint".

Having a winning team playing in your stadium is #1 for my gameday experience.

We need to put pressure on the design group to resist the urge to install bad seats in the new stadium. Some temporary benches can be brought in for extra capacity for special events. This stadium needs to be the opposite design of LF. Cooler in the afternoon sun, comfortable seats, WiFi, close to the action, intimate, modern and full of actual local restaurants that operate year round under the massive structure and use the cheap available parking for those uptown establishments. Maybe a covered music venue under the structure too!

Went to my first game at SunTrust Park in Atlanta and I’m hoping that our new stadium has a similar atmosphere like the Battery area. Restaurants and bars all within walking distance right by stadium. Hopefully Uptown will add more options before the stadium although I do love some Mugshots! Go blazers!

The conceptual designs and site plan for #ProtectiveStadium were approved by the Birmingham Design Review Committee this morning. This gives the BJCC the green light to start moving dirt. Dirt should be moving soon after the mass grading bid is awarded at the end of the month.

From what i can see, the stadium looks better than previous renderings...

In one of the images in the article, the seats on one side of the stadium are gold. Can we confirm that those are the stadium certificate seats?

"No FBS stadium in 2019 should have rows of bleachers. You get seven, maximum eight, home games a year to cater to your fanbase and most schools are choosing to pack them in like sardines rather than pay for individual seating."

Amen amen amen. Neyland stadium is absolutely awful on this point. No lie it is like 12 inches between each seat number and someone's knees are in your back the whole time.

I like the look of that stadium as well.

Yeah, and those hillbillies aren't getting any slimmer as the years go along. Be prepared to feel like a packed sardine when we go up there this fall.

Those seats at Tennessee sucked and if I recall the seating at Coleman Coliseum sucked.
