Move the First Responder Bowl or Arizona Bowl to a pre-Christmas 2nd Las Vegas bowl game featuring MWC #2/3 vs. Sun Belt #1 or something...

RE: Las Vegas Bowl gets PAC #2 team
In a June 4 story about new bowl agreements in college football, The Associated Press erroneously reported that starting in 2020 the Pac-12 would send its top team not participating in the College Football Playoff or New Year's Six games to the Las Vegas Bowl. According to the Las Vegas Bowl, the bowl will share with the Holiday Bowl the second selection of Pac-12 teams not selected for the playoff or New Year's Six games.

Right...still meaning they'll get #2 team after the CFP. The Rose get #1 and the LV or Holiday will get #2.

Should be #3/4 after the CFP/Rose and the Alamo Bowl

Quote:The Valero Alamo Bowl has established a new agreement with the Big 12 and Pac-12 conferences to extend the existing relationships through 2025.

The six-year extension, which starts in 2019, will ensure the Valero Alamo Bowl continues to feature the first choice of teams from the Big 12 and Pac-12 conferences after the College Football Playoff selections.

Ok, I am confused. This is my guess based on what I think each bowl SHOULD be ranked.

Las Vegas and Alamo will share #2
Holiday will be #4.

Las Vegas and Alamo will share #2
Holiday will be #4.

Pac-12 bowl order has always been based on the payout. Alamo is #2 (i.e., first after the Rose and any other CFP games) because they pay more to the Pac-12 team than the other two bowls do.

There are conflicting reports about the order after the Alamo Bowl, but if Las Vegas and Holiday are alternating the next pick, it means they're paying the same amount.
