New B1G Commissioner
https://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/co...story.html

Reports are that Jim Delaney's successor will be announced today and that it will be the Minnesota Vikings COO, Kevin Warren. Warren would be the very first P5 African American commissioner. Warren became the first African American COO of an NFL team in 2015, and helped the University of Minnesota search for its AD (which led to Kevin Coyle).

Oh, and Warren has his law degree from Notre Dame. 05-stirthepot

Warren will have mighty big shoes to fill. Based on his resume, it appears to be a great choice.

"The Big Ten Conference has a rich history as a trendsetter across college football and today we are doing exactly that by announcing contraction back to 10 teams and indefinite regional cohesiveness. Now the original Big Ten teams will visit each other every other year -- as opposed to every 6th year. We look forward to the ACC, SEC, & BXII following suit and the revival of BIG EAST and SWC football."

Forget the BS about race and first ever stuff. His qualifications are excellent, as he was the main mover in the stadium rights sales for the Vikings, he worked with Mike Silva's law firm, has terrific and pertinent experience and success. Has, the legal, media negotiation, and athletic background you want. Also he is known for a collaborative management style.

Solid choice, should do very well.
