What do you think should happen? Should the dems appease the california fringe, or move back to the middle?
You know, that's actually an interesting question and likely a real conundrum for many of those running.
Cali moved their primary waaaay up, could well be the first of the season (not looking). And, that primary represents some badly lopsided % of the delegates needed to win the nomination.
That, by definition, means the prospective candidate will likely need to stake out their furthest left positions straight from the jump and how well is that going to play in Iowa or New Hampshire and others moving forward?
On the flip side if a supposed "top tier" or poll leader like Creepy Joe or Camala have a relatively poor showing, say 3-4th cause they
don't go full 'tard, that could well be a disaster in the press, fund raising, all important Mo etc.
so they'll have to appeal to the anarchist zealots to win that contest, then real quick try to turn around and run back to more center-ground.
Land of Fruits and Nuts represent themselves and that's about it. Maybe NYC or chitcago and other various failing enclaves, but not a lot more.
Is there room for a more "moderate" dim to win Cali? I don't really know, but I suspect the answer is NO.
