For decades I would have agreed that there really was not much difference. Not today. The Democrat party is a cesspool of radical leftists now. The choice is pretty clear for me now despite my distrust of both gangs. I cant cast a vote for a Dem now on outside of some local race.

Over the almost 200 year history of the Democrat party, a vote for Democrats would mean a vote for slavery, segregation, eugenics, Indian removal, false pretenses for big wars with Mexico Vietnam and in WWI, Communist (and arguably Fascist) sympathizers, Japanese internment, infanticide, the corruption of big city political bosses, tennaments housing-projects and other programs to keep people in poverty, and so much more.

There has always been a difference.

You're right, it's abolishing the EC and lowering the voting age to 16 - among other harebrained schemes. Now those are some real beefy policy proposals that will benefit all Americans tremendously.

So, you have about 24 different people trying to figure out how to pigeonhole you for the right message, that one just for you and like minded people like you.

RE: still no reason to vote for a democrat
There are, in my mind, three per se disqualifying issues:

1. An openness to socialism.
2. Reparations.
3. (Un)Constitutional amendments or laws to ban voter id requirements, abolish the Electoral College or expand the Supreme Court.

Of the 24 declared Democrat candidates, only Governor Bullock comes off completely clean.

Joe Biden is close, if you are willing to overlook his flirtation (word-choice intentional) with tuition-free college. John Delaney (who?) and Gov. Hickenlooper also come close, despite some uncomfortably stupid comments on reparations.

The rest are beyond consideration.
