DC15- NBA Draft Workouts

Looks like Devontae will workout with the Hornets tomorrow. They have always made the most sense for him with Joe Wolf coaching the G-League affiliate. Hornets do have 2 2nd Round picks... would be something to hear his name get called on draft night.

Would be awesome but I just don't see that happening. ESPECIALLY not in the 2nd round.

It's unlikely... but I wouldn't 100 percent rule it out. 2nd round picks are non-guaranteed deals anyways just like undrafted free agents. Regardless, he's going to have to go to summer league and earn his way into a two-way contract or a G-League exclusive deal. DC15 will have his work cut out for him to make it to the NBA, but I'm not willing to bet against him.

RE: DC15- NBA Draft Workouts
https://www.nbadraft.net/ranking/bigboard is a Top 100 dated March 28, and it doesn't have any CAA players. http://www.espn.com/nba/insider/story/_/...ers-do-now that you have to pay to read is dated May 14, and the only CAA player it has is JWF with the 60th and final pick. http://www.espn.com/nba/draft/bestavailable is a Top 100 without a date, and the only CAA player it has is JWF at 76th. You're probably not going to find Cacok unless you find a ranking of more than 100 players. The NBA has a lower percentage of field goal attempts be threes, but some centers can shoot threes. To reach the NBA, Stony Brook's Jameel Warney had to learn to shoot threes. In college, he attempted 1,482 field goals without a three. He's on Wikipedia's list of 116 players with at least 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in college. In his first season in the G League, he attempted 1 three. In his second season, 11.2 percent of his field goal attempts were threes. 2018-2019 was his third season in the G League, and 19.4 percent of his field goal attempts were threes.

I saw a tweet about him working out for Charlotte that did something fans here don't like. It called you "UNC-Wilmington."

Great to see Cacok working out for the Kings too. Here's his interview from the Hornets workout.

DC15- NBA Draft Workouts
According to his Instagram story, DC worked out for the Lakers today. I doubt it would happen, but the Lakers ARE looking for cheap talent to fill out their roster.

Imagine his skills alongside LeBron and Anthony Davis!

He also got offered a deal to play in France. I'd imagine that going overseas won't be the plan for his rookie season. Whether he gets drafted or not there will be spot for him on a G-League team.

Could always use a G-League offer to sweeten an overseas deal, yeah?

The threat of a 35k g-league deal doesn't give much leverage.

Well, that's unfortunate. Either way, I expect Cacok will be quite successful in the professional market of his choosing in the years to come.

Signed a contract in France. Good move. He can carve out a nice career in Europe since he was a classic 'tweener' in the NBA with very limited shooting range.
He'll make 200K easy.

Looks to me like he has received an offer from - but not yet signed a contract with - a team in France:

Not to be pessimistic, but do you all see DC15 going into tonight's draft? I really want to hear his name being called but am having trouble seeing it. Send me optimism asap

It's not likely that he will get his name called tonight. However, he did have 6 NBA draft workouts so it's possible. Idk what's going on with the whole French team situation, but he should definitely be on a summer league roster.
