Rice did what the rest of this conference should do more of.. they are hosting P5 programs in their OOC schedule. I'm not saying we need go to this extreme. In fact, I think Rice over did it. Hosting 3 P5's and playing another on the road, will make it very hard for them to pick up a non-conference win.

Too many of us settle for P5 "body-bag" games, lower level FBS home and home series, and FCS "buy-a-win" games. Than the same fans moan about how our media deal is worth crap, and their program doesn't get on TV. We can't have it both ways.

NOt really, Rice is hosting 1 game vs. Baylor. The other games are road and neutral site. Same netural site WKU is hosting UofL....Please enlighten us some more how well Rice is doing things....They have won what, 9 games in 5 years?

You are mistaken. Rice plays Texas at NRG, which some might want to count as an official neutral site game, but it is not. NRG is in Houston, and if the game were officially a neutral site game, CBS Sports would not get to air it. Texas would make sure of that. They need games for their Longhorn Network, and would have certainly snatched this one if given the opportunity. Plus, Both the Baylor and Wake Forest games will be played at Rice Stadium, which clearly identifies them as being hosted by Rice.

Also, I never said Rice was winning. I said they were scheduling better teams. Which they are. You can check for yourself....

Clearly, CBSSN gets the first pick of the litter, or, at least, an earlier one than the NFL Network.
