Just watched SOAS replay with Bohn again mentioned BC H&H series and confirmed were in Maui 2022. Also mentioned UC Close to being AAU school.

Said stories about Micks pay cut unfortunate & untrue said Mick had bigger opportunity but said he always wanted Mick at UC

It was a good show for the school. i liked how the host kept bumping fists with Bohn and saying he wants some of the "golden" touch. LOL
Also, if memory serves me right, he commented that the entire athletic dept. had a cumulative 3.4 APR.
People I don't want to see leave uc:

Bohn
Fick
Googins
Michelle Clarke-Heard

List is growing....

Just need to get Brannen on it.

Coach Brannen will be fine. He'll take UC bb to deeper runs in the NCAA.

I am hopeful for this as well but in any case I expect UC Basketball to be a much more entertaining experience than Mickball.

Does this mean we can stop counting "deflections?"

Pretty sure he'll be charting deflections as well. It's a good thing to chart. This was always a dumb Mick criticism.

I'm guessing Brannen might actually be charting a lot of things. My understanding is he's big on using numbers in preparation (a lot like say Buzz Williams).

The criticism on Mick wasn't so much about him putting an emphasis on deflections... It was just what he seemed to turn to in press conferences and interviews when people would bring up that the offense was sputtering.

Pitino was a champion of deflections as well as many other accomplished coaches.

So basically Cincinnati and Michigan are the two best athletic departments in the country. I'm disqualifying Baylor on the grounds of their administration being the living embodiment of Asmodeus.

Funny that now we go head to head with them Saturday night in baseball. Winner take all?

You guys ever talked to Bohn?

Probably the most down-to-earth guy I've ever met. He walked up to me at an alumni event in Dayton when I was just kind of standing by myself and had a fifteen minute conversation with me. Was a little intimidating just because he listens to every single thing you say. Seriously, he's not just shooting the sh*t and blowing off your suggestions. You'll say something and he'll ask follow up questions about your suggestion. I've now talked to him a few times and that wasn't an anomaly. That's really who he is.

I've had the exact same experience with Mike Bohn. Truly a genuine guy!

Best part about him is that he's terrible at keeping secrets and will spill the beans if you get him going lol

LOL, he's been talking to groups about the future series with Boston College for a couple years. I told my neighbor (a BC alum) about it last year. Was starting to get worried it would never happen and I would look like a fool.

I have as well and concur with what you're saying.

Most all of us on this board are invested in the UC program, either financially or emotionally at some level. With that said, and after a fair number of comments after last night's game about the excessive amount/volume of pre-recorded music, if that's a concern I encourage anyone to send Mike Bohn an email sharing that feedback.

I did so after a game in 5th/3rd last year and I will again this year. For those behind the glass in suites at Nippert or 5th/3rd, they'll never realize it's a problem for many other loyal season ticket holders situated near the speakers--which is a whole lot of folks.
