It's official. The ban on beer and wine has come to an end.

A&M and LSU I assume will allow sales this year as they've been the biggest proponents. I've heard Ole Miss and Auburn may be sympathetic too. South Carolina I'm quite confident will not have it for this football season.

Off topic, but according to his Twitter feed, the SEC is apparently considering Dallas as the host of Media Days for 2020. The announcement is supposed to come at this year's Media Days.

I find that interesting because one would think that a media event should be purely based in your backyard. Looks like they intend to make DFW a hotbed of the SEC before it's all said and done.

I think that would establish that DFW is not just an important market for fans and ratings, but is also important for the media exposure it offers. The SEC wants to be the big dog in DFW.

Would be great if we added some combo of Oklahoma/UT/Ok State

Is there even enough private security people to be hired in Baton Rouge to deal with LSU fans at a night game that are STILL DRINKING after they enter the stadium??

The folks in Baton Rouge intend to find out this year it looks like. Arkansas sounds like they’re in too

I haven’t heard from Ole Miss or A&M yet, but supposedly they were spearheading it too, so I’d expect them to play ball this year

I was wondering the same thing... what could possibly go wrong, right?

Looks like A&M is official.

I still expect LSU, Ole Miss, and Arkansas to allow sales this year as well.

On the flip side, Auburn, Alabama, Mississippi State, and UGA have already come out and said no. In fact UGA went further and said it wouldn't be at any athletics events this year.

No word that I can find from UK, Vandy, Missouri, SC, UF, or UT.
