Most of them fall more into the category of pseudo-christian than Christian.

They worship flat earth conspiracies far more than Jesus. They know 10 times more flat earth conspiracies than Bible.

The Bible supports a globe anyway. Both OT and NT. When flat earthers use the bible, they use idioms in the OT text that are clearly not speaking of actual physical traits of the earth. Then they ignore and twist books like Job that are actually speaking in a scientific context.

Like if I said "raining cats and dogs" and they say it really rained cats and dogs. Then they twist verses that actually speak in a scientific context of rain, clouds and water vapor.

The Bible speaks of going east to west in never ending terms, it does not mention north -South this way. Anyone who says the Bible states flat earth does not know scripture.

Kyrie Irving subscribes to flat earth belief.

Those are my favorite moments on that facebook group. When an australian flat earther posts something about australia and other flat earthers pile on that Australia doesn't exist. Or the new craze that has people calling flat earthers sheep, the convex earth and black sun people are on a whole new level of crazy

Most convincing sphere-earth argument I've seen is the ability using flight charts to travel 3, equidistant legs, and get back to where you started by making 2, 90-degree turns.

The moon, on the other hand, we've obviously never been to.

Very frustrating evidence for flat earthers.

I've often pointed out to them how the moon is upside down in the southern hemisphere but they use the basketball on the ceiling analogy to say it just looks upside down because you walked under it.

The stars all circling the northern AND southern pole stars just knock it out of the park. The movement of the entire southern hemisphere sky just makes them look foolish. Its totally impossible on the flat earth model.

I think the reality is that these things (along with the 'rise' of the KKK) are more related to the power of the internet giving tiny minorities an equal forum...

It used to be 5 guys in each of 5 trailer parks...
Now 25 guys in one chat room... plus 25 trolls and 25 people attacking them back.

I was just thinking that. It's laughable that in 2019 there are still idiots that think the earth is flat. If the earth was flat there is no chance that you could fly easterly from NY and then wind up in California. If you couldn't you'd be falling off the earth into space. I guess that's what would happen because there's no way of knowing what would happen as the earth is definitely not flat. Columbus proved that in 1492, imagine that.

Then they don't know their Bible as the Bible talks about the orb of the planets. An orb is round like a ball. Has anyone seen a flat ball yet?

Ask them why toilets flow the opposite way in the Southern Hemisphere.
