Actually, it was just under 7 million per team, not 8 million. IMHO, I think ESPN still got the better of the deal due to the length of the contract of 12 years. Definitely made the AAC the B10 of the G5 for money. Still not even close to P5 money.

Read up on it and you are correct, Need to keep up on my part. Kinda disappointed since I thought 8 mill should have been the number (had been positive towards Aresco),

To me, it's kind of amazing how Aresco could deliver such a "blah" deal and yet get hailed by much of the AAC community.

I mean, the consensus on these boards was that the AAC would get about $8m a year. That's what was obvious to Laymen, just by eyeballing the TV ratings the past six years.

So Aresco, the TV genius, who for six years had excused the peanuts deal of 2012 by saying that everything was about building towards the 2020 deal, delivers $7m a year, and over 12 long years? And after saying the new deal would be in the P5 "range and conversation" or somesuch just last year?

And this guy makes $2m a year with no end in sight? Good Grief.
