A team that couldn't even make their conference final with three 1st Team All-Americans must play in a helluva league, huh?

Another possibility is some stat padding during the OOC schedule where they were scoring 30 runs against very inferior teams.

Or they ran into superior pitching in the conference tournament.

Daniel Johnson hit 12 home runs for NMSU in 2016. He hit 21 home runs in A in 2017, 7 home runs in AA in 2018, 10 home runs in AA in 39 games and 1 home run in 7 games in AAA in 2019. He should make his MLB debut this season for the Indians.

Today he is 3 for 3 with 1 double and 2 triples.

Ortiz and Gonzales are going to have good professional baseball careers. But Gonzales still has one more year of college ball to play.
