Lawler is an entertainer. Parlow is fine, DeAngelo should have been in.

Of the people listed only one wears the same hat all the time and has a blooper tape. Is that HOF material?

Isn't it five years after retirement for athletes?

Bill Dance but no DeAngelo Williams?

I have no idea who Cindy Parlow or Melanie Smith Taylor are.

HOF's used to mean something. I have a buddy that made the Park Commission HOF for touch football. I went and couldn't help but laugh.

Cindy Parlow played soccer, made the Olympic team, won a gold medal - twice - and went on to sign a professional soccer contract. She was also head coach of some soccer team. Her dad and I were co-workers at the phone company.

How in the hell can anyone consider this complete without DeAngelo?? EDIT : "mostly because there is a five-year waiting period before retired players are eligible for the Memphis Sports Hall of Fame.". I reckon that explains it.

They should have waited until he was eligible. Either way I would never go there.

Lawler was likely not inducted because he's still technically active.

Now if we're talking wrestling, Sputnik Monroe was a huge, huge snub. Did as much for race relations as anybody in that particular era.
