I love Penny 1000 times more, but those two wins against Loserville in a regular season were needed by this fan base to believe enough to get to Penny. I remember a lot of people being happy around here when it happened. The last time it happened was 86-87 with Boyd, Askew, Gray, Alexander, Douglas and Finch’s 1st year as coach. Those were good wins for us both times ‘cause wupping Loserville’s butt is always a lot of fun.

I thank Larry & Josh for both those seasons because they made us feel good about our team after a letdown. Being a fan means being a fan 24/7, year in & year out!

So glad he’s gone. But he was part of the reason why Penny is here now!!

Tubby's two years here were much worse than Josh's...the players didn't want to play his old school style, he didn't want to work very hard to recruit, and the fans stayed away. And Bowen wanted to keep him!!

And now Bowen is gone too.

Season tickets were down to 4111 according to parish. And bowen wanted to keep him.

As far as Lil Penny goes.. While it would be good, the original intent is no longer necessary. Penny has plenty of media personality now. That shyness he had when he first went pro seems mostly non-existant.

He's more polished after one season than Opie ever was, is, or will be. He's also far more engaging than Tubby.

I still hold out hope for JP. He works so hard and puts in so many hours that surely he can pull it together one day.

I don’t understand the hate for a good man who was put in way over his head from day one and following Cal. Not an easy task. If he had followed advice given him by coaches, others in CBB he probably would have done a good job. We did go to 4 straight NCAA tournaments under him. You he didn’t run the program into the ground like Tubby did bu not giving a s***.

At the end Josh was just as insulting to the fans and the city as Tubby...Probably more so.

And Tubby didn't run the program into the ditch...Josh did. Tubby just didn't try to pull it out because like you said...He didn't give a sh1t.

Incredible that someone would think this. It takes someone truly special.
