DENTON - UNT's indoor practice facility will be named the Lovelace and McNatt Families Practice Facility, the athletic department announced Friday.
"We could not prepare student-athletes for competitive excellence and personal development without the foundation of great supporters like the Lovelace and McNatt families," Vice President and Director of Athletics Wren Baker said. "We are happy that their name will live forever on this building, and they will have a legacy within Mean Green athletics for generations."
The UNT System Board of Regents this week approved the naming rights for the facility, which is under construction.
The Lovelace and McNatt Families Practice Facility is located off South Bonnie Brae Street, adjacent to the Athletic Center and the Victory Hall dorm, and features:
A temperature-controlled environment for practice during inclement and hot weather
Elevated photography/videography platforms
A football field and track running lanes
A lobby, restrooms and a lounge for entertaining recruits
This state-of-the-art, multi-sport facility will allow North Texas athletics to maximize student-athlete safety and time efficiency, as well as provide flexibility for other events.
