If John says we were rebuilding, I'll take his word for it. That implies we were not loaded with talent as some here claim. Rather, we had holes in our recruiting that caused a void in talent on the field at some key positions.

I said that before Lester took over and continued to see that during the past two seasons. John's grandfather saw it the same way. That is all on Peejay. If we have a talent deficit going forward, that falls on Lester. This is now his team and his players.

Keenoy made the point to distinguish Fleck years vs the current staff, and praised the former while at the same time using a bit of political correctness to say the last two years sucked by comparison. "Rebuilding year" has been the term of art for coaches and players to say "this year we blew". Keenoy is a good guy, and one who lived years as a significant player under both eras. His is a testimonial.

Arguing and trolling about Fleck's final two years being better than Lester's first two won't bring Fleck back any faster than your arguing about how our hockey program should be in the WCHA will get them in there.

It's a little early for you to be starting to get into your cups today, Judge Judy.

Keep smoking it DB. Still sitting in front of that desktop in your dirty whitey-tighties all day long? And your occupation envy is getting old. The custodial arts is an honorable career, so get over your shame. Custodian is what I did to pay for school while attending WMU, so we have that in common.

I am not bold enough to reinterpret what he did not say since I do not know him and know him well. I won't put words in his mouth. No doubt you know him well @brovo and I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

However, if you don't know John and know him well you're twisting his words. I would hope you wouldn't condone that in the court room and didn't intend to do so here. Opinions are fine. Own your opinion, but don't twist words.

For the record, in my opinion, I do think John intentionally praised Fleck and the coaches he took with him. Seems to have clearly delineated between staffs. I also believe he does think the program has rebuilt the past two years. But that is just my opinion of what he said. John did have opportunity to transfer to a major P5 program according to his grandfather and chose to stay in Kalamazoo. He didn't have to .

That’s how the town “judge” rolls. Read his reviews.

2017 was always going to be tough losing Terrell and Davis.
